Situation
A patient with pre tracheal lymph node enlargement is referred for mediasteinoscopy to eliminate spread from a previous carcinoma of the kidney. What is going through your mind when you assess the patient ?
Kidney cancer is haemaotogenous spread not lymphatic, therefore the kidney may not be the cause of the lymphadenopathy.
