Situation
A patient has a 2cm nodule on CXR 6weeks ago in clinic. Pre thoracotomy CXR reveals
a much larger nodule. The patient is a life long non smoker. Why
The patient has a fast growing tumour or there is surrounding collapse consolidation. This patient had an adenocarcinoma with bulky mediastinal spread. The preoperative CT scan had no mediastinal lymph node enlargement.
