Situation
A CT scan demonstrates "query" chest wall involvement, how could you deduce if this is so? The tumour could just be abutting the pleura?
Opinion
Pain is the most important point. If no pain it is highly unlikely to be invading the chest wall.
Obviously rib / vertebral destruction on plain x-ray or CT scan, or a hot spot on a bone scan would also indicate chest wall involvement.
