Recurrent Carcinoma of the  Oesophagus

 

These scans can be difficult to interpret post OG. Always remember the gastric tube or colon can produce images that are hard to interpret. This asymptomatic patient had an abnormal right hilum that had increased in size. Mediastinal lymphadenopathy is always a poor sign. In the absence of infection PET scanning can aid in the diagnosis of malignancy, but query what would you do anyway, you treat the patient symptomatically anyway.
