            A one day course covering imaging for Cardiothoracic and oesophageal surgery. This course is aimed at trainees preparing for their specialist exams. Modalities covered will include plain radiography, contrast studies, CT , MRI, PET, echocardiography and angiography. The day will be run as an interactive session between the course organisers and the delegates.

Areas covered will include: Principles of bypass, Cardioplegia and Venting, The Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, Blood conservation, Bypass for Aortic surgery, Emergencies during bypass, Clinical cases and scenarios. The day will be run as an interactive session between the course organisers and the delegates.

In addition common referral scenarios will be dealt with. The day will be run as an interactive session between the course organisers and the delegates.
